How to: Hello Kitty Nails
July 27, 2011
I'm pretty obsessed with Hello Kitty, I love her so much :) That's why I tried to do this tutorial. Before  I did it, I actually searched for clues and tips... Although the whole design was my idea, I got some inspiration from youtube videos. Let's get started!
You'll need:
Pink nail polish
White nail polish
Soft pink nail polish
Glittering pink nail polish
Black nail polish
Tooth pick or any other nail tool
Some pictures of small hello kittys
In the end of the tutorial, I used a nail polish to strength my nails and to fix the Hello Kitty picture, since it's paper.
You will also need, as always, nail polish remover and swabs, to clear the excess
If you like you can use other colors, it isn't necessary to use the ones I used!

Start by painting four nails in soft pink and the middle nail in black. You can paint them with the same color, but I wanted contrast.

Now, it's time to start the design: create a triangle on the top of the nails with the black nail polish. If you want, you can make it with the help of adhesive tape.

With a tooth pick, create dots forming a line, and then, randomly, full the nail with white and pink dots.

Now, the sort of hard, but still easy part :P You need to print some hello kitty pictures like this ones. I used the two of the bottom, one for each middle nail.

I made a small 'ball' of transparent nail polish and placed the Hello Kitty there, and with the help of the tweezer, I made pressure on the picture for about two minutes, to make it 'glue' to the nail. Since it's paper, I also put another layer of nail polish, to protect it from the water.

With a glittering nail polish, I made the middle nail look more fun and girly! I didn't put a lot of it because that nail had already got enough nail polish, though.

Clear the edges of your fingers, every nail polish that you don't want and you're done! (sorry about the quality of this picture) It wasn't perfect at the beginning, actually this was my first try, so it doesn't look that perfect and professional, but it was worth a shot!
I hope you guys enjoyed as much as I did!
