The new Ombre hair color has emerged as one of the most popular trends for the celebrities in 2011. What is this messy yet sexy look? Ombre hair is accomplished by creating a dark root and then extending downward to a lighter tip. It has many people questioning whether these ladies became too lazy for a touch-up, or if they’re doing it on purpose. Well it is definitely done on purpose! (...). It is hip, easy, unique, and more importantly can be derived from any hair color.

As the text says, ombré hair is definitely a huge trend at the moment: many people (including celebrities and bloggers) love it, although... not everyone rocks it, in my opinion.
It can be a very fresh californian / beachy hair style, but that doesn't mean it suits everyone. I think it depends on the haircut and hair colors (I prefer the more natural ones, e.g. the ones that go from brown to a light brown / blondie color) and, of course, on the style and attitude of the person.

If done right, I think it can look really stylish, in a messy and unexpected kind of way. If done wrong, well, then it looks nothing but trashy!
